FMCG Manufacturing

Medfood provides complete FMCG manufacturing and packing for food, beverage, supplement and functional powders — from raw ingredients to finished, palletised goods ready for distribution.

Our manufacturing process is designed around consistency, traceability, flexibility and quality control. Products can enter the facility as individual raw ingredients requiring recipe-based blending, or as finished blended powders ready for packing. From there, each batch moves through controlled processing stages including sifting, filling, sealing, coding, labelling, outer-case packing and palletisation.

With in-house production management, food science support and multiple packing formats, Medfood is able to accommodate a wide range of product requirements while maintaining oversight throughout the manufacturing process.

Whether the final product is packed into sachets, doypacks, jars, composite cores or other larger formats, our goal is to provide a streamlined manufacturing route that takes product from bulk material to a professional, retail-ready finished format.

Blending Capabilities

Our blending facility accommodates both 250 kg and 1-ton batch sizes, allowing us to support a range of commercial production requirements.

Ingredients can be picked directly from stock according to an approved recipe, or clients may supply a pre-blended finished powder for packing. Blending is overseen by our Production Manager, with our in-house Food Scientist present during blending to support formulation accuracy, consistency and process control.

Vibratory Sifting

Following blending, powders move through a vibratory sifting process before packing.

This stage helps break down agglomerated or clumped material and screens the product for unwanted oversized or foreign material. It forms an important part of our quality control and traceability process before product is released to the filling stage.

Sachet Manufacturing

Products intended for smaller single-use or portion-controlled formats are issued to our sachet packing lines.

We can accommodate multiple sachet formats and fill weights, including:

  • Back-fin sachets

  • Three-side-seal sachets

  • Multiple sachet dimensions

  • Various product fill weights

This provides a flexible solution for supplements, powdered beverages, functional products, food products and sample formats.

Large Format Filling & Shrink Finishing

Products requiring larger retail or bulk formats are issued to our dedicated filling and packing section.

Available formats include:

  • Doypacks / stand-up pouches

  • Jars and tubs

  • Composite cores

  • Other suitable larger-format packaging

We also offer heat-shrink finishing for products requiring shrink sleeves, branded shrink applications or tamper-evident sleeving.

This allows products to be completed with both functional protection and a professional retail-ready finish.

Batch Coding & Traceability

Once packed, products move through our coding and labelling process to ensure clear identification and traceability throughout the supply chain.

We use Videojet ultraviolet fluorescent ink coding to apply required production information such as:

  • Batch or lot numbers

  • Manufacturing dates

  • Expiry or best-before dates

  • Other required traceability information

We also produce outer case labels in-house, allowing cartons to be clearly identified with:

  • Product information

  • SKU or item codes

  • Barcodes

  • QR codes

  • Batch information

  • Stocktaking and warehouse identification details

This creates a more complete traceability system from the individual retail unit through to the outer case, supporting stock control, warehouse handling and distribution.

Outer Case Packing & Palletisation

The final stage of production is outer-case boxing and palletisation.

Finished products are packed into their required shipping cases, organised according to the agreed configuration and palletised for dispatch.

Products can then be prepared for delivery to:

  • Retail distribution centres

  • Warehouses

  • Distributors

  • Wholesalers

  • Export and international destinations

From raw ingredients to finished, coded and palletised goods, Medfood provides a complete FMCG manufacturing solution ready for the next stage of the supply chain.
